Travelist guides are built to help someone make a real travel decision. We try to explain the tradeoffs, show what needs checking, and link to the next useful step instead of filling pages with generic destination descriptions.

How we research

We start with a specific traveler question, then compare first-party or official sources, established transport and tourism operators, and relevant local context. Entry rules, schedules, prices, closures, weather, and safety information are treated as changeable. We show the source links and ask readers to verify those details again before booking.

What we add

Travelist should not simply rewrite another guide. Our contribution should be a route decision, comparison, planning range, checklist, base recommendation, transfer explanation, or transparent tool. When a page cannot add a meaningful decision or practical shortcut, it should not be published.

Dates and updates

Every planning page has a last-updated date. A page is reviewed when its season begins, an official source changes, a reader reports a correction, or Search Console data shows that the question has changed. A date is not a promise that every fact is permanent; it tells you when we last checked the page.

AI-assisted work

We may use AI to organize research, suggest page structures, draft alternatives, check links, generate illustration concepts, and speed up repetitive quality checks. AI does not replace source checking, judgment, or human review. We do not publish invented first-hand experience, fabricated reviews, fake prices, or claims that a person visited a place when that did not happen.

AI-generated images are used for clearly editorial illustrations, diagrams, and visual concepts. We use real, owned, licensed, or verified imagery when an image is presented as a factual photograph of a destination or landmark.

Estimates and recommendations

Prices are planning ranges, not quotes. Scores and matchers are transparent heuristics, not official ratings. A recommendation explains its tradeoff and links to the evidence or destination guide behind it. Paid listings and affiliate links do not decide which destination is recommended.

Commercial relationships

Travelist may earn commissions from some booking, hotel, tour, transport, eSIM, insurance, or other commercial links. Sponsored placements are labeled. Commercial links are selected because they can help with the decision on that page, and they do not change our editorial conclusions.

Corrections

If something is wrong or has changed, contact us through the corrections page with the page URL, the specific claim, and a reliable source. We review useful reports, correct material errors, and record important changes in the page update process.

Sources & verification

Official references used to check the practical details in this guide. Schedules, prices, and access can change, so verify them again before travelling.
